He is a director and theatre maker from Edmonton, Alberta. He has directed with the Citadel Theatre, Theatre Network, Nextfest, Promise Productions, Grant MacEwan University, and assistant directed with the Citadel Theatre, Northern Light Theatre, Workshop West Playwright’s Theatre, Theatre Yes, and Theatre@York. He is co-founder of the Found Festival, Edmonton’s only site-specific arts festival and was festival director from 2014-2015. He is a graduate of York University’s Master of Fine Arts in Directing/Creation, the Citadel/Banff Centre Professional Theatre Program, and the University of Alberta’s Bachelor of Arts in Drama. An Edmonton-based actor, director, and producer, Neil has performed across Alberta. As a graduate from the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting program, he received the Universiade and Poole Awards for Excellence in Drama and Neil has returned the University to complete his Education degree. Throughout the year he is the Student’s Club Facilitator and an instructor for at the Citadel Theatre and also regularly performs improvised musicals with The 11 O’Clock Number. Selected acting credits include: Romeo and Juliet/Love’s Labours Lost (Freewill Shakespeare), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged (Grindstone) The Runcible Riddle (Catch the Keys), BoneCage (Theatre YES), The Suburban Motel Series (Punctuate!), The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Musical (Rosebud Theatre). Melanie Bye is a recently graduated Secondary English Teacher in Edmonton, Alberta. She has experience in event planning as well as volunteer coordinating. Melanie also spent two years working for Kingsway Mall as a Style Council Intern where she styled photo shoots and fashion shows while working on her writing skills as a blogger and script writer. Having recently joined the Thou Art Here team, Melanie is excited to continue growing Thou Art Here Theatre as an independent theatre company in Edmonton.

Alyson is an Albertan actor and graduate of the BFA Acting program at the University of Alberta. She has been working with Thou Art Here Theatre since 2012 and was made an artistic associate in 2013. Alyson is proud to be a part of a company like Thou Art Here that strives to create more roles for emerging talent in our community. Recent acting credits include Henry V (Grindstone Theatre/Malachite Theatre), The Unsyncables by Rebecca Merkley (Edmonton Fringe), Jack and the Beanstalk (Fort Edmonton Park) and Bone Cage (Theatre Yes). Born and raised in Edmonton, Ben was most recently seen there in Never Swim Alone (Blarney Productions), For the Love of Cynthia (Teatro la Quindicina), and Gordon (Theatre Network). As a performer and playwright, Ben is an active creator of new works, including Emily Etterson’s Economical Eco-friendly Water Service (For Charity!) (Two Little/ SKAMpede), The Van (Found Festival), Brake, Home Video (Heartmeat), Herbert and If I Had a Horse (Ben, Dave, Steve).

Mark is an actor, director, and improviser born and raised in Edmonton. He holds a BA in Drama Honors from the U of A and a Physical Theatre and Ensemble certification from Dell Arte, California. Mark has been working with Thou Art Here since 2012 and was made an artistic associate in 2013. Mark primarily works on developing new works in Edmonton and has a passion for physical comedy and improv. He is lucky to work with a company that entrusts their associates with heading projects and translating new ideas onto the stage. Mark has worked and performed with many other companies including: The Citadel Theatre, Capitol Theatre, Studio Theatre, DieNasty!, and Dell Arte International (California). A teacher during the day, Mark has taught workshops with Trickster Theatre, Grindstone Theatre, The Robbins Academy, Edmonton Children’s Dance Theatre, Yerba Buena Arts Center (San Fransisco), GeriActors, and several high schools in Edmonton.
